Duane W. Superneau, MD, Board Certified in Pediatrics and in Clinical Genetics, is a graduate of the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle. He completed his internship and residency in Pediatrics at Charity Hospital in New Orleans. Dr. Superneau also completed a fellowship in Medical Genetics at the University of South Alabama College of Medicine, Department of Medical Genetics.
Dr. Superneau is interested in all aspects of genetic disease. He evaluates and tests individuals and families for possible genetic syndromes and disorders. He provides genetic counseling for his patients and their families to address causes, inheritance patterns, medical management, and recurrence risks for the genetic and non-genetic issues identified during the course of evaluation.
Dr. Superneau will also discuss with individuals and families any concerns they may have about their family history, including the occurrence of birth defects and concerns about hereditary predisposition to cancer.
