When late entertainer Danny Thomas opened the doors to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in 1962, he was not just changing the lives of those children who would walk through its doors. He was changing lives across the world. St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is internationally recognized for its pioneering research and treatment of children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases. Ranked one of the best pediatric cancer hospitals in the country, St. Jude is the first and only National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center devoted solely to children.
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital has been described as “a hospital without walls.” The St. Jude Domestic Affiliate Program’s mission is to extend care and benefits to more children; increase the number of children on St. Jude protocols; and to provide clinical, academic and financial support to our affiliates. The Domestic Affiliate Program is a network of pediatric hematology-oncology clinics, hospitals and universities united to extend the mission of St. Jude. The physicians and staff at these sites work in collaboration with the staff of St. Jude to deliver protocol-related care to pediatric hematology and oncology patients.
The Baton Rouge Affiliate Clinic extends the cutting edge power and compassionate care of the world renowned St Jude Children’s Research Hospital to the people of Louisiana and beyond. Our Lady of the Lake Physician Group's St. Jude Affiliate Clinic is one of just six such clinics in the country and works with Our Lady of the Lake Children's Hospital, a 10-bed unit dedicated to hematology / oncology patients.
We are blessed to have a number of skilled hematology and oncology experts right here so children can receive the care they need close to home. We apply the advances in pediatric hematology-oncology earned through cooperative study in an environment that is familiar and convenient to our patients. The marriage of uncompromising care with the warmth of a small community deeply attached to each young patient make this clinic a truly wonderful place.

Meet Our Providers
Our physicians and physician assistant provide pediatric services to diagnose and treat blood disorders, including sickle cell anemia and hemophilia. They are also experienced in the diagnosis and treatment of child leukemia, lymphoma, brain and bone tumors.
Directions to the Clinic
Take the Essen exit off of I-10 and go south. Take a right onto Hennessy Boulevard at the corner of Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. Behind the hospital on your right are two medical plazas. We are located in Medical Plaza I, Suite 312.
