Pediatric Emergency Medicine

The Pediatric Emergency Room at Our Lady of the Lake Children's Hospital is a 14-bed unit with a dedicated pediatric trauma/radiology room that offers 24/7 coverage by Fellowship trained pediatric emergency physicians and pediatricians. It is led by Brian Stout, MD, Medical Director of Pediatric Emergency Services, and includes a team of pediatric ER nurses who are specially trained  to treat patients from birth through 17 years of age. Levels of care available range from assessment and treatment of minor illness/injuries, to chronic medical conditions, to continuation or initiation of advanced life support, and trauma services.
