 Acute Care Physician Assistant

We are seeking experienced Physician Assistants to join our expanding Trauma and Neurosurgery Services. Our specialized trauma teams treat more than 1,600 patients each year for critical needs at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. Plans are currently underway to expand the emergency room, trauma bay area and ICU as we move towards a Level I Trauma Center. This expansion is expected to be completed in the Fall of 2013.

This position consists of either a nocturnal block schedule, or a weekend day block schedule. A minimum of one year experience and prescription writing privileges is required. Candidates will be expected to support the efforts of the trauma surgeons and provide timely consultation support to neurosurgeons for patients in the ED and on the inpatient floors, participate in daily multidisciplinary rounds in the ICUs and on the patient care units, consult with medical management for discharge planning of neurosurgery and trauma patients, and participate in patient quality and safety initiatives. Endocrinologist

 Geriatrician

We are actively searching for a physician to join our established, growing practice. As part of the Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System (FMOLHS), the OLOL Senior Care Center is an active participant in its mission committed to the aging population in our communities.

We prefer a Board Certified or Board Eligible Geriatrician but will consider a BC/BE Internal Medicine or Family Practice Physician with a concentration in Geriatrics. Our geriatricians are supported by a team of mid-levels who provide services at our outpatient clinic, hospital, local nursing homes and assisted living centers. Our Medical Director is an active Board Certified Geriatrician with over 23 years of experience.  Hospitalist

Our established 30-plus member group is actively seeking board certified or board eligible hospitalists to join our team. We are a 700-plus bed private facility with 24-hour onsite care by a cohesive group of hospitalists with high morale and over 90% retention. We offer a 7 on 7 off schedule with flexibility and schedules are posted six months in advance.  Nights are 12% of annual coverage and are favorably incentivized.

An average patient census of 15 patients per physician generates above average patient outcomes and the Medical Director is an active Hospitalist. We prefer the candidate to be a Pediatric ER Fellowship trained physician or a Board Certified Pediatrician with emergency medicine experience.
